Diamond Drill Mechanic at Westfield Limited
Main Purpose ( Role):
- Must be able to understand tools, supplies, and methods for drilling.
- Understand how to read a geological drilling plan.
- Always make sure safety rules are followed.
- Able to understand geological drilling plans or factors.
- Drive carefully and well into and out of the tunnel.
- Make sure your safety, the safety of others, the safety of your equipment, and the safety of your working surroundings.
- Work with little help from a boss.
- Must know a lot about how hydraulic systems work.
Responsibilities (Key Performance Areas)
- Know everything there is to know about both simple and complicated hydraulic plans.
- Then, Know how to apply the ideas of the gear train and power transfer to rigs.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems and how they are used on rigs
- Able to put together and take apart mechanical parts.
- Also, Able to understand engineering plans and how they relate to the job.
- Write up daily reports on the rig Set up repair plans that are well thought out to keep Rigs in good shape.
- Moreover, Work with down-hole survey cams and orientation tools. Know underground SOPs and other standard requirements.
- Familiarity with the BLY LM 90, Atlas Copco Diamec 262, DBC ESD5, DBC ESD9, and DBC ESD10
Qualifications
- Must have a JHS, SHS, NVTI, HND, or a similar certificate.
- Certificates and recommendations linked to the job are needed.
- You must have a current driver’s license (grade B, E, or higher)
- They can’t have a bad past
- Must be medically fit to work underground. A Mincom HSE/H&S/S Officer’s Competency Certificate is a plus.
- Must have a valid First Aid license from either the Red Cross or St. John Ambulance.
