ROLE: ERP Specialist
Job Objective
To assure the continued usage of the ERP solution (SAP) by aiding with end-to-end enhancement implementation and providing first-line support.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Facilitate and support new implementations
- Participate in the governance of ERP processes and develop position papers. This involves assistance in the definition of functional and integration scopes for company solutions for Finance, Supply Chain, and Project Management systems.
- Serve as a connection between the commercial and technical functions.
- Proactively discover and propose improvements to business processes and/or systems.
- Record functional designs, test cases, and outcomes.
- Identify gaps and challenges, then brainstorm solutions. This includes end-user application support.
- When necessary, facilitate workshops to gather business requirements. This includes ad hoc training and user support as needed.
- When necessary, provide data processing solutions and aid in resolving inconsistencies.
- Application software installation
- Performs any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor based on the company’s needs.
Required Qualifications or Experience
Qualifications, experience, and abilities
- a degree in accounting/finance, information technology, engineering, or a social science discipline
- Experience with accounting systems in Ghana with a multinational firm in Ghana
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, including 5 years in the mining sector.
- Experience with systems auditing in accounting, finance, and other relevant sectors
- Accounting knowledge and awareness of how ERP systems are deployed or improved to fit accounting requirements
- SAP and other ERP systems experience
- Troubleshooting and recommending system solutions to problems
