AIT ADB-Japan Scholarship Program 2024–25, Thailand
Applications for the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand’s AIT Asian Development Bank Scholarship 2024–25 are currently being accepted. International students pursuing a Master’s degree have full funding options thanks to this scholarship, which is sponsored by the Japanese government.
140 scholarships in a range of subjects, such as science and technology, management, economics, and other development-related sectors, are awarded annually by the Asian Development Scholarship.
Subjects Available:
Scholarships for studies in economics, business and management, science and technology, and other development-related subjects are given out at designated institutions (DIs) across the Asia-Pacific area under the ADB-JSP program.
Advantages of Scholarship:
- The actual costs of tuition
- Living expenses (to be decided upon by each DI and ADB; depending on the true cost of dorm accommodations or a fair stipend for suitable off-campus living).
- Subsistence Allowance, which includes housing allowance (a fixed amount to be decided upon by each ADB and DI).
- Student health and accident insurance (fixed sum).
- Books (a fixed amount that each DI and ADB will decide upon).
- Real prices for economy class airfare on the most direct route to and from the DI and the awardee’s home nation.
- Other travel-related costs, like airport taxes, visa fees, luggage allowance, etc. (a flat allowance).
- Overweight bags weighing up to 20 kg might be paid for upon return home (real costs).
- The purpose of the thesis/research allowance is to reimburse the scholar for the costs associated with their research. Examples of such expenses include photocopying, school supplies, typing and computer fees, postage, correspondence, binding fees, local transport expenses, and lodging for out-of-town travel. (a fixed sum of money)
- In order to complete their study program, scholars are expected to possess the necessary computer and language skills. However, expenses required to develop computer literacy and linguistic skills may be compensated under the scholarship (actual costs) in exceptional circumstances where additional training is judged necessary.
ADB-JSP excludes the following:
The scholar family’s expenses, extracurricular activities, training, additional travel during the study program, costs for additional educational materials, field trips, workshops, seminars, or internships while at the DI, or the acquisition of computers or other educational equipment are all included.
Qualifying Nationalities:
The award is open to international students from nations that borrow money from the ADB.
Standards of Eligibility:
- A citizen of a nation that borrows money from ADB (applicants from nations that do not borrow money from ADB are not eligible for the ADB-JSP Scholarship)
- A strong academic record and a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
- A minimum of two(2) years of full-time professional job experience, obtained upon graduation from college, at the time of application.
- The ability to communicate well in both written and oral English in order to pursue further education.
- Aged no older than 35 at the time of application. In extreme circumstances, the age limit is 45 for programs that are suitable for managers and senior officials.
- In good health
- Should consent to go back to their native county following program completion.
Ineligible Applicants for ADB-JSP
- ADB managers and employees, consultants, executive directors, alternate directors, and their relatives are not eligible for the scholarship.
- Employees at AIT are not qualified to receive the scholarship.
- Recipients of the scholarships are not permitted to reside or work in nations other than their own.
- Applications that are already enrolled in graduate degree programs are not supported by ADB-JSP.
- Research projects, conferences, seminars, distance learning courses, short-term training, thesis writing, and undergraduate studies are not sponsored by ADB-JSP.
Steps for Making Application:
The ensuing records are necessary.
- A copy of the undergraduate degree certificate and transcript from the four years of study
- Possess the necessary English proficiency scores (IELTS Academic: 6 (writing and overall) or AIT EET ≥ 6.0, TOEFL ≥ 550) as needed by the AIT Language Center.
- The employer-provided work certificate.
- The income summary. Please include the parent income statement if you are not married, or the spouse income statement if you are.
- The ADB-JSP Data Sheet.
- The AIT Asian Development Bank Scholarship 2024–2025 can be applied for online through an application system. Use the official website provided below to get access to it.
