Investment and Research Officer at IGS Financial Services

The Company is one of the largest professional Investment Management Companies in Ghana, licensed and regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the National Pensions Regulatory Authority to provide the following services: asset management, wealth management, pension funds management, investment advisory and investment research and publication.

The Company is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons who are interested in the Investment Management Industry to apply for the position of Investment and Research Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Firstly, Assist the Investment Unit in the management of investments on behalf of clients, and in accordance with approved investment policy statements, company policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and best practices
• Secondly, Develop and manage financial models, Conduct comprehensive economic and industry research and analysis,
• Thirdly, Gather and interpret financial market data and produce periodic research reports for the benefit of business units, clients and the general public,
• Moreover, Remain fully informed on relevant economic, industry and market developments, and
• Then, Perform other related duties as required.

Technical Requirements:

• First of all, A good first degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, accounting, banking & finance or a combination of any of the above. Completion of the Ghana Stock Exchange Securities Courses would be an added advantage.
• Then, A post-graduate degree in economics or finance would be an added advantage.
• Also, Strong analytical and critical thinking.
• In addition, Expertise in statistical packages, databases and MS Office would be an added advantage.
• Afterwards, Excellent knowledge of data collection methods.
• Moreover, Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task.
• Furthermore, Search engines, web analytics and business research tools acumen. Effective communication and presentation skills, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
• Finally, Maintain confidentiality of information, written or spoken, with regard to clients’ investments and personal data.
