Compliance Officer at IGS Financial Services
The Company is one of the largest professional Investment Management Companies in Ghana, licensed and regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the National Pensions Regulatory Authority to provide the following services: asset management, wealth management, pension funds management, investment advisory and investment research and publication.
The Company is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons who are interested in the Investment Management Industry to apply for the position of Compliance Officer
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Firstly, Assist the Compliance Unit to monitor the effectiveness of internal controls in mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and implementing the Board’s strategy and policies,
- Secondly, Carry out checks and tests to ensure operations are in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, directives, and guidelines,
- Thirdly, Ensure that all relevant persons are aware of the regulatory requirements, including, employees and agents, Formulate and or review policies and procedures,
- Moreover, Review and conduct inspections on clients’ records, Report any material breaches; any disciplinary action taken by the Commission results of any inspections or investigations conducted by the Commission;
- Additionally, Report periodically on the adequacy of the internal controls. and; the
- Then, Remain fully informed on relevant economic, industry and market developments, and
- Finally, Perform other related duties as required.
Technical Requirements:
- A minimum of first degree from an accredited tertiary institution in any relevant field,
- Completion of the Ghana Stock Exchange Securities Courses would be an added advantage, A member of any relevant professional body will be an added advantage,
- Post qualification experience in the relevant position will be an added advantage.
- Adequate knowledge and experience in relevant laws, regulations, standards and compliance issues relating to the financial services industry,
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, Effective communication and presentation skills, time management, and interpersonal skills, Maintain confidentiality of information, written or spoken, with regard to clients’ investments and personal data.
