IDL Africa Technologies Invites Job Applications
IDL Africa Technologies is in search of a Radio Communications Technician to assist our clients in Ghana, Togo, and Benin.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Setting up, configuring, and servicing intricate communication devices to ensure customers are operational. (Two-Way Communication Devices, Land Mobile Communication Radios, P25 Trunking Networks, MOTOTRBO, etc.
- Restoring the system when issues arise and reestablishing communications for public safety and other essential clients
- Creating and enhancing client systems with the most recent technologies and solutions
- Assisting in and implementing customer Functional Acceptance Test Plans (FATP), conducting/recording outcomes of site surveys and evaluations based on specified customer needs during pre-sales delivery and after installation
- Concentrating on optimizing systems and resolving complex issues, while mentoring/training the team on new technologies and machinery.
- Collaborating with clients and sales personnel to create estimates, proposals, and timelines for executing installation or repair activities.
- Supporting and working effectively with the team and clients.
- Showing an eagerness to learn and receive guidance on a new technology in communications and devices.
- Finishing assigned tickets accurately and promptly.
- Implementing small adjustments to electronic circuits based on customer specifications and/or applying software/firmware updates.
Qualifications & Skills
- Familiarity with setting up and servicing different kinds of radio gear.
- Expertise in utilizing diagnostic instruments and programs for radio technology
- Knowledge of radio frequency (RF) engineering principles
- Robust problem-solving capabilities and technical troubleshooting expertise
- Outstanding communication abilities for working with team members and users.
- Pertinent sector qualifications
- Previous employment in a telecommunications or broadcasting setting
- HND/Degree in electronics, telecommunications, or a similar discipline
- Comprehensive understanding of radio communications technologies and devices.
- Practical knowledge of radio setup and maintenance methods.
- Capable of working autonomously and handling several tasks efficiently.
- Focus on details and excellent organizational abilities.
- Physical capacity to manage and carry heavy machinery.
- Capability to function in different settings, such as outdoor areas and on-location sites.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and sector guidelines
