POSITION: Technical Sales Manager

Position Summary: 

We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager to propel business expansion by creating and overseeing technical sales plans in the water industry. The perfect candidate should possess solid experience in technical sales related to drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and the sale of equipment. This position necessitates proficiency in establishing connections with important industry players, recognizing business prospects, and skillfully delivering solutions customized to client requirements.

Main Duties:

  • Create and implement sales tactics to boost revenue.
  • Locate and connect with prospective clients in the water industry and related sectors.
  • Perform market analysis to grasp customer requirements, sector trends, and competitive standing.
  • Offer technical advice and assistance to clients, aiding them in choosing the best water engineering options.
  • Work alongside internal teams (engineering, project management, and marketing) to create customized proposals and presentations.
  • Create and present technical sales demonstrations to potential customers.
  • Negotiate agreements and finalize transactions that align with company goals.
  • Establish and sustain robust connections with industry participants such as regulatory bodies, contractors, and consultants.
  • Offer support after sales and guarantee customer contentment.
  • Create periodic sales reports and projections for management evaluation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical), Business, or a similar discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B technical sales in the water industry, mining industry, and equipment sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of drinking water processing, wastewater processing, and stormwater control solutions.
  • Demonstrated history of meeting and surpassing sales goals.
  • Outstanding abilities in negotiation, communication, and presentation.
  • Capability to function autonomously and cooperatively in a team-based setting.
  • Robust business insight and capability to cultivate enduring client connections.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM applications.

  • Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive awareness of technologies and industry trends in water and wastewater treatment and management.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven capability and achievement in marketing water, wastewater, and stormwater management solutions, finalizing agreements and fostering business expansion in specialized sectors.
  • Relationship Development: Strong proficiency in networking and cultivating robust client connections.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in assessing customer requirements and suggesting customized technical solutions.
  • Strategic Insight: Capability to create and execute sales strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Communication Abilities: Outstanding oral and written communication skills for interacting with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Self-Inspiration: An Active method of recognizing chances and seeking prospects.

Other Requirements

  • Eagerness to travel often for client meetings and participation in industry events.
  • Being skilled in the French language provides a further benefit.
  • Legitimate driver’s license
