POSITION: Director, Account Management -Liberia

Job Summary
Oversee all MasterCard initiatives, comprising Credit, Debit, Prepaid, and Commercial cards, covering both issuing and acquiring sectors for clients in the remainder of West Africa.
Increase MasterCard volume and market share among Issuers and Acquirers while creating additional revenue opportunities through enhanced value-added services.
Have you previously been involved in establishing a long-term relationship with a major client? Are you able to negotiate, implement, and oversee every facet of the customers’ business? Can you move past tactical interactions and establish yourself as the reliable strategic advisor for this account?
Are you able to assess a customer’s business by means of profitability modeling, financial forecasting, and competitive analysis?
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales objectives for MasterCard products and services as well as net revenue goals from both new and existing clients in the market.
- Examine the client’s business by utilizing profitability modelling, financial forecasting, and competitive assessments. Devise targeted strategies that provide tailored solutions for the business, enhancing profit, revenue expansion, and value generation for both MasterCard and the client, while collaborating closely with MasterCard’s cross-functional teams.
- Work together with the client to create and implement a yearly strategic account plan, while also arranging regular review meetings (at least quarterly) to set, track, and report on progress toward shared goals.
- Facilitate, finalize, and oversee the customer contract process, guaranteeing worldwide integration of resources and communication of information.
- Create and execute sales strategy frameworks that encompass business growth, promotion, marketing, and product oversight initiatives involving clients, potential customers, and internal MasterCard representatives.
- Engaged in every aspect of product development for The Rest of West Africa, which includes recognizing and applying new features and advantages while collaborating closely with the Africa team and other internal stakeholders in the area.
- Develop an extensive customer marketing pipeline aimed at enhancing portfolio results (utilization and acquisition).
About You
- This role provides the chance to oversee every facet of the MasterCard connection with designated clients.
- The role calls for a self-driven, commercially savvy business developer who possesses strong relationship management and persuasive abilities to collaborate with customers and MasterCard’s cross-functional teams in designing and executing effective payment programs that enhance segment penetration and boost revenues for MasterCard and banks.
- The perfect candidate will have a strong emphasis on execution, possess substantial experience in the payments industry, ideally acquired in Business Development/Product management on the Issuer side, and have the capability to collaborate across various disciplines and functions. He must also feel quite at ease when handling technology.
- A solid understanding of retail electronic Payments/Cards from the perspectives of Issuing/Acquiring/Network is necessary. (Experience in the payments/banking sector is favored)
- Should be capable of merging insights across various fields (Sales, Product, Marketing, Operations, and Risk).
