Job Overview
- Formulate and implement sales tactics to broaden insurance distribution through various institutions and platforms.
- Discover and obtain new business prospects to stimulate expansion.
- Boost income from current partners via cross-selling and improved interaction.
- Present compelling sales pitches to important stakeholders.
- Enhance and improve digital, conventional, and alternative distribution methods to achieve sales goals.
- Guide, educate, and inspire the sales team to reach both personal and collective objectives.
- Establish and uphold robust connections with important partners, such as relationship managers.
- Make sure the sales team is knowledgeable about Old Mutual’s products by providing frequent training and updates.
- Track sales performance, evaluate KPIs, and execute enhancements.
- Verify adherence to industry standards and offer essential support to the team.
- Keep informed about market trends, competitor tactics, and customer inclinations to foster growth.
- Create and deliver sales analyses, projections, and performance reviews to management.
- Improve customer connections by responding to questions, solving issues, and providing outstanding service.
- Aids in strategizing and executing the pursuit of strategic opportunities by developing partnerships or other business relationships or by discovering new markets for the organization’s products or services.
Duties
- Commercial Growth: Perform regular business development support activities and help others by adhering to set procedures.
- Clarification of Customer Needs: Conduct an interview with the customer using a multilevel sales script to ensure a clear understanding of their needs.
- Client Relationship Building / Lead Generation: Place calls (either via phone or in person) to assigned prospective clients to build connections. Serve as the initial point of contact for addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
- Generation of Sales Opportunities: Determine prospective clients by utilizing publicly accessible lists, including trade directories and online searches.
- Offer Customer Proposals: Choose a range of products or services that could fulfill the customer’s needs, describe the features of the product/service and the usual terms of sale to the customer, and encourage the customer to select and buy at the regular price/terms and conditions of sale.
- Client Relationship Management (CRM) Information: Input pertinent details into the CRM system following each interaction with a customer to guarantee that the organization maintains accurate data for effective customer retention and business growth efforts.
- Operational Compliance: Acquire a solid understanding of the organization’s policies and procedures, as well as the regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to your own role, following mandatory protocols to guarantee that your work meets the required standards.
- Individual Skill Development: Cultivate and sustain outstanding process or technical abilities through involvement in evaluation and development planning efforts, along with both formal and informal training and mentorship.
