POSITION: Blending Operating Technician
Summary
Working directly under the Blending Supervisor to operate and manage the Indag Systems effectively to consistently fulfill production requirements in both quantity and quality as needed.
Responsibilities
- Tasked with carrying out regular and scheduled maintenance on the INDAG SYSTEMS.
- Accountable for correcting and resolving all new issues on the INDAG SYSTEMS.
- Record all maintenance actions as needed.
- Make sure all necessary spare parts are available in inventory.
- Obtain authorization from the Blending Manager/Supervisor before starting the blending process.
- Accountable for the functioning of the In Line Mixer (ILM).
- Accountable for overseeing the monitoring of sugar and acid syrup production and pasteurization into the storage tank.
- Oversee and verify the calibration condition of all blending apparatus.
- Make certain that the suggested CIP procedures are executed according to the established Matrix in every area.
- Verify that the volumes in the BDM (Batch dosing module) for various recipes are accurate.
- Oversee ingredients throughout the transfer process (into FS tanks) to verify the quality and quantity of components dispensed, and to ensure the effectiveness of the blending process and the quality of the final product.
- Examine all mixtures and syrups to verify that the parameters are within range before requesting QA.
- Check back on the final document once QA has recorded the parameters.
- Always verify document, and tag all returns from production prior to reworking.
- Observe the FA Tanks for any product accumulation.
- Obtain concentrate and alcohol from suppliers through the INDAG SYSTEMS.
- Oversee the Blending Assistants as they carry out their responsibilities.
- Guarantee that RO water is accessible at all times.
- Observe the INDAG SYSTEMS for every blend volume and contrast them with the actual figures.
- Document all essential meter readings as necessary and enter them into SAP for production transfer.
- Delivery of technical support to manufacturing lines.
- Any designated technical task.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least three (3) years of pertinent experience in a Food Processing or Bottling Company.
- Solid expertise in instrumentation and controls with the capability to diagnose Siemens PLCs.
- Strong grasp of SCADA Systems.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong communication and report-writing abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities with the capacity to connect with a varied assortment of individuals.
- Capability to operate autonomously.
- Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
- Capability to put in additional hours if needed.
- Excellent organizational abilities and focus on details.
- The capacity to comprehend, adhere to, and implement policies, practices, and operational procedures.
- An aware SAFETY advocate at every level of operation.
