POSITION: Field Officer
We are looking for a committed and community-focused Field Officer to collaborate closely with our cooperatives. The chosen candidate will be tasked with organizing field activities, offering assistance and training to cooperative members, and ensuring the effective execution of the company’s programs.
Main Duties:
- Act as the main point of contact between the company and women cooperatives, facilitating effective communication and teamwork.
- Carry out field visits to observe activities, evaluate progress, and offer support to cooperative members.
- Arrange and conduct training workshops on optimal methods, financial understanding, and equitable trade for women’s cooperatives.
- Help cooperatives enhance productivity, gain market access, and ensure the sustainability of their initiatives.
- Gather and examine information regarding cooperative performance, difficulties, and chances, and present results to management.
- Confirm adherence to company policies, regulations, and established standards.
- Recognize difficulties encountered by cooperatives and suggest feasible solutions.
- Prepare and deliver consistent reports on field operations, achievements, and aspects needing enhancement.
- Other tasks as directed by senior officers or management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Rural Development, Social Work, or a similar discipline.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in fieldwork, community development, or collaborating with cooperatives.
- Having experience with women’s empowerment initiatives is a beneficial asset.
- Solid grasp of cooperative systems, financial knowledge, and economic growth initiatives.
- Capability to work autonomously and frequently travel to rural and peri-urban regions.
- Outstanding communication, training, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data gathering software.
