POSITION: Sonographer 

SPRING OF LIFE HEALTH SERVICES (SHS) is a faith-oriented healthcare provider situated in Ghana, operating under the Spring of Life Evangelistic Ministry. SHS belongs to the Christian Health Association of Ghana.

Job Overview 

Spring of Life Health Services is in search of a skilled and experienced Sonographer to become a part of our committed healthcare team. If you are enthusiastic about offering excellent diagnostic imaging services and delivering compassionate care to patients, we encourage you to apply!

Main Duties

• Perform ultrasound tests and analyze the outcomes precisely.
• Collaborate closely with doctors and healthcare personnel to offer diagnostic assistance.
• Guarantee the safety and comfort of patients throughout procedures.
• Service and adjust ultrasound devices as required.
• Maintain precise patient documentation and comply with ethical medical practices.
• Choosing the correct settings and positioning the patients appropriately.
• Observing and attending to patients to guarantee their safety and well-being throughout the procedures.
• Choosing and analyzing images, identifying distinctions between healthy and diseased regions, and deciding whether to broaden the examination’s extent according to initial observations.
• Showing the sonograms and initial results to the Doctors.
• Filling out the necessary paperwork and keeping patients’ medical histories and records up to date.
• Supporting Physicians and the medical teams throughout invasive procedures.
• Taking care of and sanitizing the sonographic devices.
• Carrying out medical tasks, including providing oxygen, measuring vital signs, and delivering urgent care.

Required Skills or Experience

• Degree/Diploma in Medical Sonography or a related area.
• Authorized or accredited by an accredited regulatory authority.
• At least 2 years of experience in ultrasound imaging.
• Extensive understanding of obstetric, gynecological, abdominal, and vascular ultrasound techniques.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to function autonomously and collaboratively within a group.
