POSITION: Human Resource Manager
Role Overview
The Human Resources Manager is accountable for managing all facets of human resources practices and procedures in the hospital. This encompasses hiring, employee relations, adherence to labour legislation and healthcare guidelines, staff training, and fostering a supportive workplace atmosphere. The HR Manager collaborates closely with hospital leadership to ensure HR strategies are in sync with the healthcare facility’s overall mission and goals.
Responsibilities
Hiring and Employee Oversight
- Create and execute recruitment plans to draw in qualified clinical and non-clinical personnel.
- Manage the credentialing and onboarding process for healthcare providers.
- Oversee workforce planning to maintain sufficient staffing levels that address patient care requirements.
Workplace Relationships
- Tackle employee complaints and settle workplace disputes.
- Cultivate a constructive work environment that encourages collaboration, employee involvement, and contentment.
- Carry out inquiries concerning workplace matters and suggest suitable measures.
Regulatory and Legal
- Make certain to adhere to labour laws, healthcare regulations, and standards for hospital accreditation.
- Stay informed about current healthcare regulations impacting human resources.
- Supervise employee licensing and credentialing to comply with regulatory standards.
Formulation and Execution of Policies
- Formulate and implement HR policies and procedures in accordance with hospital objectives.
- Revise policies as necessary to adhere to modifications in labour and healthcare regulations.
Remuneration and Perks
- Oversee the hospital’s remuneration framework, encompassing wages, incentives, and perks.
- Assess and propose employee benefits programs to maintain competitiveness within the healthcare sector.
Human Resource Planning
- Collaborate with hospital management to synchronize HR strategies with the institution’s mission and future objectives.
- Deliver HR metrics and reports to hospital leaders for strategic planning purposes.
Wellness and Security
- Work together with hospital departments to guarantee safety standards in the workplace.
- Supervise programs for employee health and promote wellness activities.
HR Tech Solutions
- Oversee and uphold HR Information Systems (HRIS) along with other pertinent technologies.
- Utilize technology for effective hiring, payroll processing, and management of employee records.
Education and Training
- Plan training courses to meet leadership, compliance, and staff development needs.
- Create programs that encourage lifelong learning and professional development.
Management of Performance
- Put in place mechanisms for performance reviews and make sure they are completed on schedule.
- Address poor performance and offer coaching or growth plans in collaboration with department heads.
Necessary Skills or Experience
- Robust leadership and management abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Expertise in HR software and systems.
- Skills in problem-solving and decision-making.
