POSITION: Fleet Assistant
Job Description
- Assist with vehicle scheduling and dispatch to ensure that cars are optimally allocated for diverse activities.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records on vehicle maintenance schedules, service history, and repair needs.
- Set up and schedule vehicle maintenance appointments with repair shops.
- Process invoices for fuel, maintenance, and repairs.
- Monitor and report on vehicle performance, identifying any issues.
- Assist drivers with any roadside concerns they may experience (for example, breakdowns, accidents, or lost documentation).
- Prepare fleet activity reports and generate data to inform fleet management choices.
- Keep your workspace clean and orderly, including filing systems and databases.
- You may be needed to undertake basic vehicle inspections (for example, tire pressure and fluid levels).
Qualifications
- Candidates must hold an HND/degree in a relevant discipline.
- Professional qualifications will provide an edge.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Effective time management.
- Proactive and capable of taking initiative.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Maintain appropriate assertiveness when dealing with clients.
- Integrity and secrecy are essential in this profession.
- Effective interpersonal skills are needed.
- Strong organizational abilities for achieving goals and prioritizing tasks.
- Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet applications is advantageous.
