POSITION: Assistant Operations Manager

Job Description

The Assistant Operations Manager reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for setting up, managing, and directing the React Team’s actions. The position demands strong leadership talents, great communication skills, and a proactive attitude to operational activities.

The AOM will help the CEO plan, coordinate, and execute time-sensitive deployments of systems, humans, and equipment in response to customer calls. The AOM will help to ensure that the Team’s activities run smoothly and effectively.

The job description for the Assistant Operations Manager of React Team usually comprises the following:

Responsibilities: Recruitment, Training, and Development:

• The AOM will help HR recruit competent staff.
• Assist in providing comprehensive training to the React Team, as well as running frequent drills and exercises.
• Ensure that the Team is constantly ready to carry out their obligations.
• Supervising Security Staff: Manage daily operations of React Team personnel.
• Ensure that they are properly briefed to carry out their jobs.
• Manage security systems, including staff, equipment, and technologies.
• Implementing security policies involves developing and enforcing operational and administrative policies and procedures.
• To respond to incidents, ensure team members are well-prepared through briefing and kitting procedures.
• Allow the team to perform up to the expected standards.
• Coordinate the activities of the teams on the field.
• Ensure all React Team operations adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Ensure that contingency preparations are maintained and followed.
• Reporting: Prepare suitable reports on operations under policies and required skills/experience.

Skills and Qualifications

• An associate’s degree (or its equivalent) in operations management, logistics, business administration, or a similar discipline.
• 5+ years of expertise in operations management or fast deployment operations, with a proven track record of managing high-risk projects.
• A solid understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and resource allocation.
• Proven expertise in leading cross-functional teams and complicated operations in time-sensitive situations.
• Excellent ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
• Experience in risk assessment, crisis management, and safety regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication abilities for dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.

Desired Attributes:

• The ability to stay calm under pressure and make swift decisions in high-stress conditions.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and increasing operational efficiency.
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced operating setting.
• Knowledge of emergency response, military, or quick deployment activities is beneficial.
