CNML is developing its core asset in Ghana’s Upper East Region with the strategic aim of creating a world-leading, highly lucrative, and responsible gold mining operation.
Job Description
- Location: Namdini Gold Mine Site near Bolgatanga.
- Unit: Performance/Talent Management Department: Human Resources & Media
- Reports to: Superintendent, HR, or his delegate.
- Direct Reports: None
Job Purpose
- The incumbent will play a vital role in managing and developing employee performance management practices.
- This job is responsible for assisting with the deployment of performance management systems, ensuring alignment with company goals, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement. The incumbent will work with many departments to collect and analyze performance data, support training and development programs, and help create and communicate performance measures.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the employee performance evaluation and/or key performance indicator (KPI) process, which includes scheduling, communicating, and tracking performance reviews.
- Help with the design, implementation, and maintenance of employee performance management systems (PMS) and tools. This includes serving as the focal point for the proper implementation of the performance management module of the company’s
- Enterprise Resource Planning software (SAGE 300 & Employee Self Service, for example).
- Ensure that performance management processes are efficient and consistent with corporate rules and objectives. This involves implementing the “bottom-out” policy and any others.
- Prepare and maintain periodic (monthly, quarterly, and annual) performance metrics reports/statistics and backups to aid decision-making.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of performance evaluations and supporting documentation. This includes gathering and analyzing performance data to find trends, strengths, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the successful execution of various talent management and employee growth and development initiatives in partnership with the Training & Development Unit and other departments.
- Assist in the creation and delivery of training programs for performance management, goal setting, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a point of contact for performance management inquiries from employees and managers, and support the development and implementation of employee appreciation programs.
- Create dashboards and other visual tools to communicate performance data effectively. This includes creating and disseminating communication about performance management rules and modifications.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by the Supervisor under the needs of the company.
Required Skill or Experience
Minimum Qualification(s)
- Degree or equivalent in human resources, business administration/statistics, social sciences, or a related area.
- Professional or specialized certification in Data Analytics or Human Resource Management from an approved institution.
Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a comparable role in the mining, manufacturing, or technology industries, or in a similar environment.
Knowledge
- General working understanding of HR operations and data processing issues.
- Excellent understanding of performance management and key performance indicator (KPI) theories, techniques, standards, and tools.
- Capable of creating interactive databases and templates, as well as using data analysis tools.
- Advanced hands-on expertise in Excel modeling and visualization.
- Advanced hands-on experience in data analysis and various database management systems.
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
- Ability to manage many priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the company.
