POSITION: Field Service Engineer
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Field Service Engineer is assigned to the Projects Office’s Field Service unit. H/She is in charge of after-sales support, maintenance, and customer support request services.
FUNCTIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Executing maintenance contracts by providing routine maintenance and call-out services.
- Providing post-sales support for all products and solutions offered by Process and Plant Automation Limited (PPA).
- Providing support services, including troubleshooting for customers
- Execute special projects allocated to the unit.
- PPAL’s services will cover a variety of products, including low and medium-voltage switchgears, smart metering systems, process control systems, smart home systems, building management systems, solar PV systems, and more.
- H/She will carry out these duties following the client support process, ensuring that quality targets are met.
Quality Management System Responsibilities
You will be accountable for the following process:
Client Support
Your role is to complete all the activities listed in the process to guarantee that the quality objectives are met. The Departmental Manual contains information about the process as well as pertinent paperwork such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), forms, guidelines, and checklists.
OSHA RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knowledge and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures.
- Follow all safety procedures, rules, and directions.
- Risk Assessment
- Hazard Identification and Reporting
- Knowledge of the safe use of all tools and equipment, where applicable
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical/electronic engineering.
- At least one year of engineering experience is required.

- Low voltage wiring and labeling experience.
- The ability to drive vast distances.
- Competent use of instruments such as wire strippers, crimpers, basic hand tools, and voltmeters.
- Electrical troubleshooting and testing for sub-assemblies and finished products.
- Capable of troubleshooting electrical circuits with a multimeter.
- Capable of performing electrical testing, including insulation resistance and continuity checks, on all electrical installations.
