ROLE: Earth Moving Equipment Salesman – Construction

Purpose of Position

  • Reporting to Ghana’s Sales Executive, the job will be responsible for maximising sales of construction equipment to attain and meet market share, unit sales, and revenue targets.
  • Will be in charge of important construction customer accounts, implementing focused programs to increase specific model sales, and establishing strategies for key customer groups

Key Result Areas: Operational

  • Marketing and Sales Strategy – Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies, programs, cost-cutting initiatives, and profitability targets.
  • Improve deal participation and customer engagement in the construction sector.
  • Build strong customer relationships and trust to improve the company’s market position.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Executive to examine competitive pricing circumstances, build sales tactics, and leverage marketing programs to maintain competitiveness, under business rules.
  • Market analysis entails tracking market trends, trade activity, and competitor behavior to inform future planning and strategy alignment. Increase market share for construction equipment.
  • Deal Tracker: Monitor and methodically follow up on all pending deals, from initial quotes to final delivery and invoicing, to ensure smooth transactions.
  • CRM Management: Ensure that the CRM technology is properly maintained, updated, and used to generate sales leads and opportunities.
  • Ensure sales methods and documentation are accurate and complete before transferring ownership.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and resolve them to maintain a high level of satisfaction.

Capability requirement

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of a mechanical engineering or sales qualification, at least 5 years of experience in a similar industry, excellent written and oral communication skills, a willingness to travel, the ability to cultivate trusted relationships with customers, OEMs, and other stakeholders, well-honed negotiation skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Location: Kumasi.
