POSITION: Manager and Sales of Stores

Ghana Investment Fund For Electronic Communications (GIFEC) is seeking an experienced, proactive, industrious, talented, and self-motivated individual for the job of Manager and Sales of Stores.

Purpose of Position

To efficiently manage the storage and delivery of goods and supplies required for the Fund’s operations. This includes ensuring that the correct number of supplies is provided, maintaining accurate inventory records, maximizing storage space, and organizing the timely delivery of commodities to support the numerous projects and activities done by GIFEC.

Finally, play a critical role in supporting the smooth operation of GIFEC by facilitating the availability of vital resources required for its programs and projects.

Duties and responsibilities

• Maintain correct inventory records by checking stock levels and conducting frequent counts. • Work with procurement team to identify stock requirements, write purchase orders, and obtain goods on time to satisfy operating demands.
• Ensure efficient storage practices and proper material organization within the facility.
• Supervise the distribution process, including picking, packing, and dispatching goods to internal and external stakeholders for timely and accurate delivery.
• Keep detailed records of all stock transactions, such as receipts, issuance, and adjustments, and provide periodical reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other relevant metrics.
• Follows store and asset disposal procedures and regulations.
• Conducts regular inventory and store inspections, reporting to the Head of Procurement.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures for procurement, storage, and distribution of goods, including health and safety regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to improve store operations’ efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

• To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Master’s degree in supply chain management, purchasing, or a related field, be a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), and have at least 5 years of relevant work experience, 5 of which should be in a management role in a reputable organization.
• Pass a selection interview conducted by the Fund in partnership with the Public Service Commission.
