2 . Electrochemistry

The Southampton Electrochemistry Group is well-known across the world for its research and instruction. Modern electrochemistry research covers a wide range of topics, from basic investigations of electrode surfaces and reactions to applications in sensors, batteries, and fuel cells. For more than 50 years, the group has been involved in electrochemistry education.

By providing an advanced, postgraduate education from the fundamental principles through to applications in energy storage, energy conversion, and electrochemical engineering, our MSc in Electrochemistry and Battery Technologies builds upon our reputation for excellence in research and education in electrochemistry on a global scale.

The course will prepare students for a prosperous future in the industry by placing a heavy emphasis on the principles and methods used in electrochemistry and battery research. Also, it is a great starting point for Ph.D. study.
