We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
JOB SUMMARY:
As a member of a program team, provide monitoring and evaluation support and specific expertise for program implementation in Ghana.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate M&E details of Early Warning Signs and Symptoms of Childhood Cancer with the Ghana Health Service, monitoring quality, progress as well as financial expenditures and deliverables.
- Support the implementation of projects and/or country programs, and ensure on-going monitoring, and reporting on the country and regional programmes.
- Respond to a variety of programmatic, financial, administrative and logistics needs and requirements generated from senior management and donors.
- Produce accurate and timely reports
- Contribute to the annual work planning and budgeting processes, including the identification of potential projects for funding.
- Ensure application of WCC policies and procedures to programmes including safeguarding.
APPLIED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Strong team-building skills, partnerships, and working in a multicultural setting with diverse partners.
- Knowledge and understanding of Ghana Health Service structures and systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software.
- Ability to problem solve and recommend corrective action as needed.
- Strong organizational and attention to detail needed to adhere to project deadlines.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of a degree in Public Health, Development Studies, Social Science, or related field
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in implementing and managing public health projects
- Demonstrated experience in the development and use of multi-media communications
- Demonstrated strong technical, programming and management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Usual office working conditions; ability to travel internally at least 50%.

Job Title: Project Manager
Project Management:
- Responsible for overseeing the delivery of World Child Cancer’s UK government funded project in Ghana
- Support the delivery of World Child Cancer’s wider programme in Ghana
- Develop in collaboration with WCC and key stakeholders monthly and quarterly work plans and budget forecasts
- Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of workplans and budgets, communicating any significant delay or issue regarding the implementation
- Assist in the development of strategies to achieve project aims
- Compile quarterly narrative reports
- Communicate progress with healthcare professionals and administrative staff within the project
Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills - Support WCC’s local and international partners, building strong working relationships to deliver shared goals and objectives
Financial Management:
- Support the Finance Manager to compile quarter financial reports
- Report all expenditure to WCC, communicating in advance any significant budget variation (overspend or underspent)
- Guarantee that WCC financial procedures (as per Finance Manual) are correctly implemented
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Maintain and develop accurate schedule of activities
- Develop a monitoring plan and ensuring its implementation, giving regular updates
- Conduct regular monitoring visit and external evaluations
Fundraising and communication:
- Identify and develop partnerships with local supporters
- Collaborate with local fundraising groups to gain support for the project
- Maintain and develop databases of contacts and donors
- Assist local fundraising groups to write letters and applications to local funding sources
- Support WCC UK head office fundraising strategy and development of applications
- Assist WCC head office with communication materials for use on the website and social media
Coordination and Logistics:
- Coordinate and manage World Child Cancer’s UK government funded project activities in Ghana
- Facilitate Project Committee meetings on a quarterly basis
- Organise workshop logistics for medical and nursing staff
- Organise local and International training events including booking flights, accommodation and visas
Required experience:
Essential:
- Post-graduate degree or equivalent experience
- Substantial experience of project management including project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and narrative and financial reporting.
- Practical experience of designing and implementing child health/public health programmes, including experience of working with international, national, and local partner organisations
- Strong financial background including experience managing and tracking project budgets
- Good written and spoken English
- Enjoys working in small yet growing teams where there is opportunity for growth

Desirable:
- Clinical background would be an advantage.
