POSITION: Accounts cashier
Position Overview
In the role of Accounts Cashier (Storekeeper), you are expected to align with SGMC’s vision as a Centre of Excellence and help foster a professional and friendly environment among colleagues and in interactions with patients. In addition, you will need to operate in compliance with the standards and pertinent regulations of your professional licensing authority.
Duties:
- Create client invoices for payments in a courteous and effective way, and gather cash or cheques from clients; provide change and prepare and issue receipts; address inquiries and manage all payments and adjustments using the accounting system.
- Create invoices for corporate clients and categorize them by different clients.
- Handle Petty Cash; process client invoices and categorize them by different clients.
- Conduct daily cash reconciliation against system balances—report any discrepancies and maintain accurate records of all transaction modifications.
- Deliver daily cash sales and cheques to the Accounts Office and/or Bank. Prepare and deliver daily cash sales and cheques to the Bank representative, balancing and reconciling any payment discrepancies, and ensuring that all cash transaction deposits occur promptly and securely.
- Accept merchandise from suppliers and document inventory quantities
- Conduct weekly and monthly inventory checks, documenting stock quantities and informing management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Conduct monthly inventory reconciliation and prepare stock report for the Accounts Office.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Requirements:
- An advanced National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related area
- At least 2–3 years of experience in the cashier sector
- Record management and organizational abilities
- The ability to work non-standard hours and be available for emergency response.
- Robust numeracy, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Focuses on specifics
- Outstanding Customer Service Abilities
- Strong collaboration abilities
Conditions:
- Compensation: Higher than market standard
- Type of Contract: Ongoing
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45 am to 5:00 pm
- Position: Accra
