Scholarship Categories and Benefits

For the 2024–2025 academic year, applications start on November 1, 2023, with the majority of submissions due between February 15 and March 15. After submitting an admissions application, prospective students will have access.

Selection and Notification of Scholarships

A scholarship committee chooses the winners after reviewing all of the applications. There is fierce competition for spots, and scholarships are not certain. Applications are evaluated holistically, and selection factors may comprise your academic history, leadership qualities, extracurricular activities, employment history, community service, essays, and, in certain situations, financial necessity.

The only students who are chosen to get a scholarship will get an email notification. Scholarship recipients will receive notification from:

  • First-year student to start in early April
  • Students continuing: mid-April
  • Students transferring: mid-July
  • Graduate pupils: Kindly get in touch with the Graduate School.

It is possible that you were not chosen for a scholarship if you are a new student and you have not heard anything by May 1. The time of notification for those who receive “recommended” scholarships varies.

Access the CU Boulder Scholarship Application by logging in. You can view the status of any scholarship you have applied for—Submitted, Offered, Accepted, or Awarded—by selecting the My Applications option.
