Study In USA: Texas State University Scholarship 2024

Applications from students worldwide are cordially invited to apply to Texas State University for the 2024–2025 academic year. The application forms are now being accepted.

About Texas State University Scholarships

These Assured Scholarships are given out based on the academic standing of the applicant (i.e., test results, high school diploma, IB diploma, or AP Capstone diploma). You need to submit an official SAT or ACT score, an official high school transcript, and an admissions application in order to be eligible for these scholarships.

All eligible residents and nonresidents, including those studying abroad, are assured of these scholarships as long as they are accepted as first-time freshmen at Texas State and fulfill the requirements for the scholarship before their first semester (fall or spring).

You could be able to pay the in-state tuition rate for the same time period that your scholarship is awarded if you are a nonresident receiving an Assured Scholarship.

The prestigious awards known as the Texas State Graduate Merit Fellowships (also known as the Sponamore Graduate Merit Fellowship, Gowens Graduate Merit Fellowship, Dreeben Graduate Merit Fellowship, Merrick Graduate Merit Fellowship, and Celebrity Classic Scholarship) are meant to be used in the recruitment of the best master’s students—both domestic and foreign—to Texas State University.

Concerning Texas State University

Our school was established in 1899 with the goal of producing the greatest teachers in the Lone Star State. Among our alumni is Lyndon B. Johnson, the first American president to have graduated from a Texas college. Although we’ve had a few name changes, our dedication to lifelong learning has remained constant.

Texas State University is an open, student-centered research university driven by our steadfast conviction that education has the ability to change people’s lives, strengthen economies, and completely reshape the world. Our pupils are from all walks of life, from all around Texas, the US, and the globe.

More than 200 bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD degree programs in subjects including biology, music, business, geography, and more are available to more than 38,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, each student receives the individualized guidance and chances needed for success outside of the classroom.

If you have an idea that sparks your curiosity, Texas State offers chances for you to incorporate experiential learning into a significant portion of your academic path. Make connections with academics in engineering, medicine, the arts, and other fields who are breaking new ground and creating discoveries.

How To Apply?

To submit an application

  • The graduate advisor is the only person who may suggest candidates for the merit fellowship. Up to three applicants may be nominated by each program. A one-page nomination letter that is appropriate for a general audience must be written by the graduate adviser in order to propose an application. The letter must contain the following details about the applicant:
  1. prior academic achievement
  2. experiences that are pertinent outside of the classroom
  3. predictors of future performance and program fit
  4. place among the top three candidates
  • The Graduate College must receive an electronic copy of the letter of nomination by the deadline of March 15 through the secure file transfer.
  • The fellowship committee will also receive the applicant’s resume/CV, letters of recommendation, GPA, GRE or GMAT score (if applicable), and statement of purpose in addition to the nomination letter. The graduate adviser must instruct the applicant to deliver the following files via secure file transfer by the deadline of March 15 if the program does not require them for admission.
  1. a mission statement
  2. CV or resume with proof of honors, fellowships, prizes, recognition, and other marks of potential success
  3. three recommendation letters (issued straight from the people who recommended you)
  • The merit fellowship committee will be composed of ordinary graduate faculty members and doctoral professors who represent the academic colleges on campus. The Graduate College Dean will make the final decision after considering the committee’s recommendations for both winners and alternates. Shortly after that, nominees will receive official award letters.
