Concerning Ohio State University

The Ohio State University has been around since 1870 and is a state school. It has 46,123 undergraduate students (fall 2022) and a site that is 1,714 acres big. It uses an academic calendar that is built on semesters. Ohio State University is ranked #43 among national universities in the 2024 edition of Best Colleges. College costs $12,485 for people who live in the state and $36,722 for people who live outside the state.

OSU has more than 200 courses for first-year students and a program called the Personalized Study Program that lets students plan a nontraditional education. Some of the university’s best schools, like the College of Education and Human Ecology, the Max M. Fisher College of Business, and the College of Medicine, also offer a wide range of graduate studies.

Students can join more than 1,000 clubs and groups on campus, such as more than 60 fraternities and sororities, or they can volunteer through the Pay It Forward program. A lot of people at Ohio State University are into sports. The Buckeyes play in the NCAA Division I Big Ten Conference.

Freshmen have to live on campus unless they are from Central Ohio and can drive to school. You can also study abroad with OSU in more than 75 countries.

Why study at Ohio State University?

We are known for having a great social life, great sports teams, and good grades. We are also one of the biggest schools in the country. Are you ready to learn what makes Ohio State the best? These twenty points show that Ohio State University is THE best school in the Midwest, if not the whole country.

1. It’s clear that we’re better than Michigan.

Ohio State has shown over and over that it is better than Michigan. We have won five years in a row against them in sports. Our band is “The Best Damn Band in the Land.” We make our food, like Skyline Chili. Add to that the fact that Ohio is just more beautiful. TTUN can’t keep up with us.

2. Five-Star Academics

Oh, and enough with the tailgates. Ohio State is serious about its schoolwork. They have a lot of well-known schools, such as the Fisher College of Business, the College of Engineering, and the College of Medicine. For the low cost of tuition, the standard of education here is truly amazing.

3. The Dining Hall Food is Good

The best place to eat now is Scott Traditions on North Campus. There is an Asian and Mongolian grill, as well as tables for omelets, Spanish food, and Italian food. Also, there are lots of great choices at the Union Market. There is a place in the Union called Sloopy’s that is like Steak n Shake. You’ll never go hungry on campus because there are so many food choices.

4. Amazing Gym Facilities

The Ohio State Rec Center (Rpac) is very big and has an indoor and outdoor game court for every season. You can also eat tasty shakes and acai bowls after a workout or in between classes. This year, the North Rec Center has been added. Work out for free at the recreation centers with yoga, circuit cycling, and pilates. The classes are enjoyable because other students teach them. These are great if you need a real kick in the behind. These helped me get in shape before spring break.

5. Greek Life

Ohio State’s Greek life is great. You can make great friends by joining a fraternity or sorority, but you won’t have to deal with the stress that comes with southern Greek life. They won’t judge you based on how much money your parents have, whether you’re a legacy, or how you look. You are not required to “have it all” to join a top sorority or fraternity. You won’t understand how great Greek life is at Ohio State until you join and get to go to all the frat matches, date parties, and themed get-togethers.

6. There are all kinds of clubs you can think of

There are more than 1,300 clubs and groups at Ohio State. Additionally, there are many things to do in these clubs that will help you find your talent. A dope-af gun club meets once a week at a shooting range. We also have a fashion-forward club, a salsa dancing club, a bass fishing club, and a mountaineers club. There is a club for just about everything you can think of.

7. A beautiful art scene

It makes sense that Columbus has a great art scene since it is home to the Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD). There is a public show of modern art at the Wexner Center on the Ohio State campus. You should also check out the Short North Art District. Once a month, there is a gallery hop where people can see a lot of different art in one place. A lot of people come to the high street during these gallery hops to see art shows at over 20 galleries and hundreds of other places.
