Study In USA: Carnegie Mellon University Scholarships 2024
For the 2024–2025 academic year, Carnegie Mellon University Scholarship applications are now being accepted, and international students who are interested in applying are encouraged to do so.
About Carnegie Mellon University Scholarships
Grants and scholarships are types of financial aid given to students in order to cover all or a portion of their educational costs. A consideration of both merit and financial need determines a candidate’s eligibility for grants and scholarships. Grants and scholarships do not require the student to repay them, in contrast to loans.
Concerning Carnegie Mellon University
Among the most prestigious universities in the world, Carnegie Mellon is a private, international research university that forges its own path. Here is where the adventure begins.
The magnitude of Pittsburgh’s expanding autonomous vehicle cluster, which includes Waymo, Motional, Uber, Aurora, and Aurora, is what makes those investment figures particularly significant. These companies are all based in Pittsburgh, thanks to their close ties to CMU.
CMU doesn’t just see the future; we build it. With cutting-edge brain science, ground-breaking performances, creative startups, driverless cars, big data, lofty goals, Nobel and Turing prizes, experiential learning, and a ton of robots,
In 1967, the Pittsburgh-based Mellon family combined Carnegie Tech and the Mellon Institute to form Carnegie Mellon University. The Mellons have a long history of supporting the merger.
The Mellon College of Science and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences made it possible for the Marianna Brown Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences to be the last pillar of Carnegie Mellon’s current structure.
In honor of the merger’s 50th anniversary in 2017, Carnegie Mellon looked back on the founders’ common vision and acknowledged the influence the merger has had and will continue to have on higher education, research, and discovery.

Why study at Carnegie Mellon University?
A student’s time at Carnegie Mellon University encompasses every facet of their existence.
Students follow their interests, ambitions, and goals in the classroom, at the dinner table, on the sports fields, and on stage.
Residential Education and Housing
At Carnegie Mellon, a student’s residential experience encompasses every facet of their existence. It concerns you.
Throughout students’ university careers, Housing Services and the Office of Residential Education work together to provide a lived experience that uplifts, engages, and supports them. They will learn more about themselves, their neighborhood, and the outside world in this place they call home. Staff and residents form deep bonds within a round-the-clock supportive environment that encourages discovery, development, and education.
University Health Services
Students are seen exclusively by appointment. There is occasionally limited availability of same-day appointments. When working with patients who have recent injuries or illnesses, we always try our hardest. Kindly get in contact with us as soon as possible to enhance your chances of getting seen sooner.
If no appointments are available, a triage nurse will assess the students and provide a suitable treatment plan, which may include advice on how to manage symptoms, referrals to urgent or emergency care, and scheduling for the next available appointment.
Inclusion and Diversity
A robust, varied, and inclusive community that can live out these values and advance research, creativity, learning, and growth that impacts the world is actively fostered by the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion (CSDI).
The Center provides tools to improve intergroup communication, campus climate, achievement, accessibility, and a transformative and inclusive student experience. In addition, the Center creates connections and supports historically underrepresented students as well as first-generation college students in an environment that values and celebrates individuality and skill.

University, Federal, and State Grants
Financial necessity that has been proven is the basis for grant aid awards. Grants are not repaid or require work from the students. Most of the time, grants are called “gift aid.”
Carnegie Mellon Undergraduate Grant
New students with financial needs are given a Carnegie Mellon Undergraduate Grant by Carnegie Mellon. Students must complete and submit the following financial aid forms in order to be eligible for this grant: FAFSA, CSS Profile, signed copies of the parent and student W-2 wage and tax statements, IRS Form 2555 (foreign earned income), signed copies of the student and parent federal income tax returns, and/or IRS Tax Return Transcripts (if required).
A Carnegie Mellon Undergraduate Grant is not available to dependents of Carnegie Mellon workers who are eligible for tuition reimbursement.
Federal Grants
The federal government provides students with significant financial need with a Federal Pell Grant. After their aid package is finalized, students who qualify for a Federal Pell Grant will see a dollar-for-dollar reduction in their Carnegie Mellon need-based grant money.
Undergraduate students with extraordinary financial needs are eligible to apply for a Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG). Carnegie Mellon frequently awards these grants to students who are Pell Grant recipients. A dollar-for-dollar adjustment will be made to the student’s Carnegie Mellon need-based grant money in the event that their Federal SEOG eligibility changes.
State Grants
Certain states, like Pennsylvania, offer educational grants to their citizens if they can prove their need. See a list of all the states that are taking part.
Carnegie Mellon will adjust a student’s financial aid package to decrease Carnegie Mellon’s need-based grant monies dollar-for-dollar if it receives notification from any state agency regarding the student’s eligibility.
Programs Available
Intersections of fields are a specialty of Carnegie Mellon University, where breakthroughs often occur. Prominent academics and students work together to conduct research, address pressing societal issues, and produce meaningful work.
CMU provides hundreds of interdisciplinary programs in addition to the ones listed here, as well as online options.
