Study In USA: Binghamton University Scholarships 2024
For the 2024–2025 academic year, Binghamton University Scholarship applications are now being accepted, and international students who are interested in applying are encouraged to do so.
About Binghamton University Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded to every student individually. There are a variety of criteria that are considered when awarding scholarships from Binghamton University. These criteria include academic merit, donor choice, major, program involvement, and frequent financial need, which are evaluated by the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA).
Concerning Binghamton University
Binghamton University is a prestigious educational establishment that provides students with a comprehensive, multidisciplinary education that incorporates an international viewpoint. Additionally, it is home to one of the most active research programs in the country.
At Binghamton, we think that a college education in the 21st century must involve a significant level of involvement with the world. Our goal is to provide an educational experience that is uniquely global and to cultivate a campus community that is welcoming to all students and that infuses all elements of college life with an international perspective.
At Binghamton, that ambition has become a reality. In recognition of its innovative contributions to international education, the university has been awarded seven national prizes.
Binghamton University is one of the few universities in the United States that significantly emphasizes meaningful cultural and intellectual interchange, which is why students from more than one hundred different countries choose to attend.
At Binghamton University, we place the utmost importance on the safety of our students and the whole campus community. As a result, we have developed comprehensive systems and procedures to assist every member of the university community in maintaining their safety. When it comes to the day-to-day lives of our students, our safety efforts encompass every aspect of their lives, whether they are in a residence hall, classroom, dining facility, office, or anywhere else on campus.

Why study at Binghamton University?
1. The community and life of students
Our hundreds of groups offer a plethora of social, intellectual, and professional options. There is something for everyone, whether it be religious organizations, club athletics, or fraternity and sorority life.
2. Academics
The programs at Binghamton University are among the best in the nation. Our business school, the School of Management, is ranked 28th in the country. The nursing program at the Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences is ranked sixth in New York State. There is a route to academic achievement for each person among the many majors, minors, and concentrations available.
3. Size
Being a medium-sized university, Binghamton University is big enough for you to meet lots of new people and maybe even run across someone you know in the MarketPlace or while strolling around the campus!
4. Tuition
The cost of college tuition is one of the main sources of stress on Commitment Day. I am eligible for in-state tuition since I live in the state of New York. This does not, however, imply that tuition for out-of-state students is exorbitant. Most out-of-state students are eligible for financial help and frequently win merit-based scholarships.
5. Location
Situated in the center of the Southern Tier of New York, Binghamton University may be reached from other parts of the state in a maximum of four hours. Numerous large businesses are located all around our Vestal main campus, and OCCT, our student-run transportation system, makes it simple to pick up any last-minute need. The three cities that make up our university—Binghamton, Endicott, and Vestal—have also come to symbolize our institution.
Binghamton University Scholarship Requirement
At Binghamton, the majority of scholarships are given out in the spring for the upcoming aid year and don’t need a second application. During the admissions process, you will get a notification in the form of a letter or an offer of financial help if you are selected for a scholarship.
The financial aid award package, which cannot exceed the estimated cost of attendance, will include scholarships.
Since some scholarships may require a student to demonstrate financial need to be eligible, we strongly advise you to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by January 1st.
- A minimum GPA must be attained by recipients.
- Scholarships are renewed every year for the length of time specified in the offer.
- The scholarship offer will come with specific requirements.
Who is qualified?
Current Binghamton students
Scholarship candidates should be current students who have proven their academic worth at the university. Nevertheless, if a student has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, their eligibility for scholarships is immediately evaluated. Usually, the sole additional requirement is to submit a completed FAFSA by our suggested deadline of March 1st of every year. But some grants for reentering students can also call for a second application.
International students
Students can apply for a restricted number of scholarships through the admissions process; for additional information, they should get in touch with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Only qualifying U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or other eligible non-citizens may receive funds from Financial Aid Services.
Graduate students
A restricted quantity of scholarships is given to postgraduate students. All students are considered for department funding at the time of the application assessment.
Most academic assistantships offer a stipend and, in some situations, may also include a tuition scholarship. This scholarship is paid by the department for a particular number of credit hours. Also, a tuition scholarship is a financial resource and must be included in the financial aid package. This may alter the amount of a federal direct loan for which a student is eligible.
In addition, students may apply for non-academic assistantships, research assistantships, fellowships, and scholarships. These typically call for different applications.
