Study In Canada: Carleton University Scholarship 2024

Application forms for the Carleton University Scholarship are currently being accepted for the academic year 2024–2025, and students from other countries are strongly encouraged to submit their applications.

About Carleton University Scholarships

A scholarship and bursary program at Carleton University is often considered to be among the most generous in all of Canada. Undergraduate students received more than 15,000 scholarships and bursaries with a combined value of over $31.9 million at the end of the previous academic year.

Concerning Carleton University

Among the institutions in Ontario, Carleton University is distinct due to its beginnings as a non-denominational college financed in part by charity donations from the Ottawa community. Carleton University was established in 1942 in response to the need to help give Ottawa’s youth—many of whom had taken employment to ease the strains of the Great Depression—the chance to pursue formal education.

Carleton University, which started off small on First Avenue in Ottawa, has developed into a vibrant research and teaching organization with a history of leading and predicting change. The institution is currently located not far from downtown Ottawa on a location that spans more than 100 acres and is situated between the Rideau River and the Rideau Canal.

At the undergraduate and graduate levels, the university offers its almost 24,000 full- and part-time students an outstanding education and experience. Its more than 875 academic staff members are well-regarded across the globe for their scholarly work and innovative research in more than 50 fields.

Strengths in journalism, public affairs, foreign affairs, architecture, and high technology form the foundation of Carleton University’s reputation. The university’s various connections with the federal government, other universities, and the commercial sector, as well as its faculty members’ interdisciplinary, active, hands-on approach to teaching and research, all help its students.

Carleton University Scholarship Types

Entrance Scholarships

You will be automatically eligible for a renewable Entrance Scholarship at the time of admission if you have been admitted to Carleton for fall entry with an admission average of 80% or higher. If you are a first-time high school or CÉGEP student entering Carleton and have never attended a post-secondary institution before, you may be eligible for a renewable entrance scholarship. On or before June 15, we must receive your completed admissions application and all necessary grades for you to be eligible for an entrance scholarship.

You might qualify for one of our transfer scholarships if you’re a standout student moving from another Canadian institution or college to Carleton’s full-time undergraduate program.

Prestige Scholarships

The Prestige Scholarships are our greatest honor. Only those who are joining Carleton directly from high school or CÉGEP with an entrance average of 90% or higher will be eligible to apply for a Prestige Scholarship. Additionally, the selection committee will evaluate the scope of your secondary school or community extracurricular activities. By March 1st, an application and a letter of recommendation are needed.

On-campus employment

Getting a part-time job on campus is a terrific way to help pay for college. The majority of campus departments at Carleton hire students all year round. Senior students are frequently able to work as research assistants for departments. In addition to providing extra cash, doing a part-time job enables you to get vital work experience.
