POSITION: Accountant

Company Overview

SPRING OF LIFE HEALTH SERVICES (SHS) is a Faith-based Health Care Provider situated in Ghana under the Spring of Life Evangelistic Ministry. SHS belongs to the Christian Health Association of Ghana.

Main Duties

• Prepare, review, and assess financial statements, documents, and records to verify precision and adherence to regulations.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, process payroll, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Help with budget development and financial projections.
• Guarantee prompt tax submissions and adherence to legal financial standards.
• Keep and refresh financial records, such as ledgers and journals.
• Work together with auditors during both internal and external audits.
• Establish and refine financial policies and procedures to boost efficiency.
• Offer financial analysis to aid management in decision-making.

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an associated discipline. Having a professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an advantage.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in a hospital or healthcare environment.
• Expertise in accounting programs (such as QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Robust understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Outstanding analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong commitment to honesty and meticulousness.
• Capacity to function autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
