POSITION: Key Account Manager

Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Key Account Manager to become part of our Agro team. They must possess a strong understanding of Agronomy (plant cultivation) and associated chemicals, along with fluency in English. We particularly invite individuals from Africa to seize this chance to reside and work in Accra-Tema.
Job Summary
The applicant will join our Agro Team and primarily concentrate on the Plantations. He/She is anticipated to carry out medium and long-term planning and in-person sales of diverse products and services and/or solutions across various business lines for a specific group of current customers, which involves creating sales strategies, managing customer engagement, and evaluating customer retention.
The Main Duties
- Create medium and long-term sales strategies and devise methods to safeguard, enhance, and diversify the relationship with a specific group of current clients.
- Sets sales prices and addresses requests for bids on significant IPs with the authorization of the RBM.
- He/She is accountable for his strategy and pricing for the PMPI.
- Verify adherence to AO pricing during invoicing and ensure customer payments are made by the due dates.
- Condense these various tasks into the weekly report that will be submitted to management every Monday.
- Offer post-sale assistance if needed (conflicts, arranging training)
- Recognize and handle engagements with a designated set of current clients to discover cross-sell/upgrade and repeat chances.
- Address concerns and guarantee that clients experience excellent customer support.
- Create strategies and plans for customer retention and expansion to enhance profitable operations with designated accounts.
- Accountable for the correct stock rotation and collaborates with the Supply Chain Manager for efficient order withdrawals from plantations.
- Forms predictions that he shares with the Supply Chain Manager to confirm the ordering and manufacturing of required inventory (bags, materials, products, etc.).
- Maintain oversight of the industry (emerging sectors, new entrants, financial stability of participants, export pricing of products, etc.).
- Analyze and document customer retention, business prospects, and market trends. Individuals with this expertise are able to sell directly to the final consumer or indirectly via distribution partners.
- Coordinate and monitor the R&D teams regarding the execution of trials.
- Ensure adherence to internal protocols regarding: internal rules, SHE, information security, procedures; reporting, travel, leave, missions, loan requests, representation costs, justification of any absences, and other processes communicated to you by the management.
Essential Requirement
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a comparable position.
- Having experience in plantations is a valuable benefit.
- Business analysis: Excellent analytical abilities to comprehend business operations, recognize areas for enhancement, and evaluate user needs.
- Strong communication abilities in English for efficient stakeholder interaction and documentation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agricultural/Industrial Engineering or Business.
Desirable Feature
- Technical skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with the ERP system
- Capable of addressing intricate issues efficiently and adjusting to rapid development settings.
- A powerful leader with the capability to guide junior consultants.
- Capable of mastering sales strategies and flexibility.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving individual: Outstanding skill in assessing intricate needs, pinpointing possible obstacles, and formulating efficient resolutions. Proficient debugging abilities to effectively address problems in the development workflow.
