POSITION: Tools Sales and Support Representative/Product Application Specialist

Job Description.
The Tools Sales Support Representative/ Applications Specialist will be in charge of the sales and technical support of Sandvik Rock Drilling Tools offering to the Mining and Rock Technology customer base in West Africa.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Optimize the sales and profitability of rock tools
- Training and mentoring for key internal and customer people on Rock Tools.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Service, and Training people to maximize expertise across departments, especially Logistics, to enable accurate forecasting of Rock Tools.
- Customer site visits regularly, including written reports.
- To help customers pick and order Rock Tools.
- To make it easier for customers to submit and process warranty claims.
- To perform trials and testing of new items at client sites.
- Communicate with factories to stay up to date on product development, convey market requirements and trends to factories, and assist marketing and aftermarket teams in optimizing sales prospects.
- Effective coaching and training for direct internal and external professionals in charge of expanding Sandvik’s offerings in West Africa.
- Develop customer relationships to provide a great experience and loyalty to the Sandvik brand.
- Ensures that all activities are carried out in compliance with the company’s values and current policies and procedures.
- Accepts responsibility for personal development and skill enhancement.
- Open to traveling as needed for the job, in cooperation with the supervisor.
- Adhere to all SMR policies and procedures, including the SHEQ policies.
Qualification
- A degree-qualified mining engineer, with a strong trade background in mechanical disciplines, or a strong mining operational history with at least five years of experience in surface/underground mining.
- Experience with mining drilling equipment and rock tools is essential.
- Exposure to subsurface operations will provide an advantage.
- It is necessary to be able to interact with people at all levels of a company that is multicultural or varied.
- Excellent sales, communication, and presentation abilities are essential.
- Computer literacy is necessary.
- Ability to drive and the possession of a valid Ghanaian driver’s license, ideally Class B.
- French language abilities will be advantageous.
Reporting Relationship: Sales Manager, Rock Tools West Africa.
