Emmanuel Andrews Sammini widely known as Samini in Showbiz and the music industry has responded to Wendy Shay’s post rating herself as part of the 4 “S” in Ghana.
On 28th June 2020, the queen of Ghana music wrote something on Twitter that sparked a wild controversy on social media. She made a list of 4 people whose names begin with an “S”. She placed Shatta Wale first, Sarkodie second and Stoneboy third. Her name was in the fourth position. She made this list, trying to tell her fans and Ghanaians that “The 4S” are the best and most influential musicians in Ghana. In fact, many Ghanaians refused to accept her ranking. People did not understand why Samini was exempted from the 4S. They asked Wendy Shay replaced Samini’s name with hers.
Nana Kojo Graham, a twitter user, came strong at the songstress. He stated emphatically that he has never liked Wendy Shay since her appearance in the Ghana music industry. He said that though Shay succeeded the late Ebony, she has not been able to live up to her standards. He explained that Ebony was natural and humble. She never crowned herself queen rather it was her fans that crowned her queen; unlike Wendy Shay who calls herself the queen of Ghana music. Bra Tuff also told Wendy that he knows she is queen but she cannot be considered as part of the “S” yet. Bra Kwaku Asare gave his opinions as well. He did his own rating and put the “uber driver” singer at the 54th position. However, some of her fans were happy with her post.
Reacting to this post a day after was veteran Raggae and Dancehall atiste Samini. He seemed offended by Wendy Shay’s post. He hit back at the songstress pinpointing how desperate she seemed to have made that list. He mentioned that her name must start with an “S” but the Shay’s stage name begins with “W”. He said, “There must power in the letter “S”. You need a suit with it written on your chest lol. You want to make the list so bad “WS”? “S” for star, S for spirituality, S for seriousness, S for simplicity, S for solar…..make I continue? The name must start with “S” if anything”.
This has since sparked a lot in social media.

Some few comments:
The last time you had a hit, JM was still Vice President. If we are to be honest, currently the top 4 S is Stone, Shatta, Sark n Shay… These are the current S still giving us hits upon hits…

Wendy Shay, you are one female artiste I have never liked ever since you came into the industry because you never behave like your successor Ebony. Ebony was so natural. She never crowned herself a Queen. It was her fans who crowned her because of songs she gave to her fans.
