JOB DESCRIPTION:
A research firm is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, experienced, and analytical individual with an eye for detail to join their research team as a Research Assistant. Their research works have clients across the globe where they provide independent business, market, and academic research by ensuring the integrity and credibility of clients’ information. Your role as a Research Assistant will involve the whole business and academic research process from planning, and training, to the execution of a complete research project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct critical literature reviews
- Collect and conduct routine statistical analysis of data sets, and prepare graphs and spreadsheets to portray results.
- Perform research on market trends using credible sources
- Prepare interview questions
- Recruit and/or interview subjects and Summarize interviews
- Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of Business-Related or Social Science Related Bachelor’s Degree;
- At least 2 years of experience directly related to the abilities and responsibilities specified.
- A mathematical/statistical background will be an added advantage.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Ability to analyze data with SPSS, R, STATA, SmartPLS, and other statistical software
- Strong background in both quantitative and qualitative research
- Excellent Computer and Internet Skills with the ability to complete secretarial procedures, such as formatting, word processing, and creating spreadsheets
- Strong understanding of English grammar rules and structure
- Subject knowledge and oral/written communication skills to discuss and document research progress
- Critical thinker and pays attention to details
- Ability to work independently and accurately
- Ability to solve technical and methodological research issues that arise during a research
- Ability to identify and apply sound research techniques, methodology, and logical critical analysis
- Must be highly organized with warm interpersonal skills.
