Job Description.
POSITION SUMMARY: Rainforest Alliance is looking for five committed graduate interns to help the Ghana team’s ongoing project activities. The Interns will collaborate closely with the Project Management Team in Accra and the Field Team in Sefwi Wiawso to support project implementation efforts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Rainforest Alliance’s Core Values are Impact, Change, Collaboration, Openness, and Trust, which serve as the foundation for the behaviours we exhibit.
- Responsibilities include assisting with data collection, field activities, activity reports, workshop and training organization, team support, and other tasks as assigned.
Required Skill or Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in agriculture, environmental science, natural resources, forest resources, development, or a related discipline;
- Previous experience in data collecting, creating reports, event organization and administration, communication, etc.
- Previous internship experience with an NGO is beneficial;
- Interest and motivation to work with an international organization.
- Excellent computer, communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Understanding of participatory working methods and approaches in rural regions;
- Ability to multitask and deal with shifting priorities;
- Ability to operate individually and in a team.
- Willingness to work within tight deadlines;
- Verbal and written proficiency in English, with working knowledge of Twi;
- Willingness to reside in Sefwi Wiawso or Bibiani, with frequent visits to villages.
