Position Description
Plantations Soefinaf Ghana (PSG) Limited would like to notify all qualified and interested individuals of a vacancy in its General Management Department: COOKS
JOB DESCRIPTION
The role reports to the Admin/HR Manager and is responsible for providing effective and efficient catering services to some of the Company’s expatriate management.
The position necessitates diligence, honesty, integrity, and loyalty to the firm, as well as the greatest level of hygiene.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The job title holder is obligated to follow the firm’s policies and operating procedures, as well as those that the company may establish from time to time for the effective and efficient conduct of its operations.
- Responsible for preparing quality and sanitary cuisine for the expatriate Manager and his family.
- To ensure that all cooking tools, as well as the kitchen and adjacent areas where food is made, are always clean.
- Personal hygiene is necessary.
- To ensure that sufficient food ingredients are always available to meet the food needs at all times.
- To provide laundry services at the expatriate Manager’s home.
- To carry out any other tasks delegated by the expatriate Manager.
Required Qualifications or Experience
- SSSCE/WASSCE qualification plus some professional catering qualification or Diploma in Catering/Catering II.
- A minimum of five (5) years post-qualification experience in a reputed hotel preparing both local and international cuisines.
SKILLS
- Management of nutritional resources.
- Knowledge of a variety of meals (both local and continental).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Diet management knowledge, particularly for expatriates.
- Working under pressure with little or no supervision.
