POSITION: Technical Support Specialist

Your Mission

You will take responsibility for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, and ensuring seamless functionality of IT systems. Your role also includes assisting with project management tasks, collaborating with team members to resolve Odoo technical challenges promptly, and maintaining excellent communication with stakeholders. Your ability to work independently, document solutions clearly, and maintain client confidentiality will define your success.

Key Responsibilities

Your role spans customer support, system evaluation, maintenance, documentation, and confidentiality. Here is what you will tackle:

Customer Technical Support

  • You will handle customer technical support cases through phone and email submission, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Updating the company website with tech tips and brief documents shares knowledge and reduces repeat issues.

System Evaluation & Improvement

  • You will evaluate system potential by assessing compatibility of new programs with existing programs, preventing conflicts before they occur.
  • Improving existing programs requires evaluating objectives and specifications, reviewing proposed changes, and making recommendations that enhance performance.

Maintenance & Testing

  • You will maintain system functionality by testing computer components, catching failures before they impact users.
  • Ensuring seamless operation of IT systems requires vigilance and proactive attention.

Confidentiality & Documentation

  • You will maintain client confidence by keeping their information confidential, handling sensitive data with discretion.
  • Preparing reference material for users by drafting operation instructions empowers clients to solve simple problems independently.

What You Bring to the Role

We are looking for a candidate with the right technical skills, experience, and personal attributes. Here is what you need:

Technical Proficiency

  • Proficiency in Technical Support and Information Technology concepts.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently, minimizing downtime for clients.
  • Basic knowledge of Project Management to assist in delivering efficient IT solutions.

ERP Experience

  • Experience with ERP business software platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, or QuickBooks gives you a strong foundation.
  • Experience with Odoo is a significant plus, as our platform of choice.

Communication & Independence

  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients, explaining technical concepts in plain language.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a remote environment, staying productive without direct supervision.

Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
