Oxford University Skoll MBA Scholarship 2024

Qualified persons interested in pursuing an MBA at the University of Oxford are encouraged to apply for the Skoll Scholarship for MBA Studies for the 2024 academic year.

The Skoll Scholarship for Oxford MBA provides selected individuals with a full scholarship and a living allowance to complete an MBA degree.

Details of the Skoll MBA Scholarship at Oxford University

Eligibility requirements

1. Business initiative

  • You’ve recognized opportunities and acted to create a favorable societal influence.
  • You have spent at least three years, preferably more, using entrepreneurial methods to drive change. For instance, you might have:
  • Created or established a social venture;
  • OR developed and oversaw the expansion of a social impact effort within an organization;
  • OR been working on a particular social or environmental issue with a common theme?

2. Making an impact with a systems change emphasis

You are able to show the results and impact of your entrepreneurial action. In addition, your impact targets unfair systems and practices in your field of endeavor.

3. Characteristics of social entrepreneurs

  • You are a force for good; you are single-minded and persistent;
  • and you are willing to try again if you fail.
  • You are biased in favor of action
  • You have a propensity to scout for chances and resources in your surroundings.
  • You’re willing to assume personal and occasionally financial dangers
  • You create networks and use members to further one another’s objectives
  • You have firsthand experience with the issue you are attempting to solve.

4. The Oxford MBA will significantly influence your career path.

You can provide evidence on why business education is crucial at this point in developing your work or effect.

5. A need for money

  • You are in a situation where the program’s fee represents a considerable financial burden.
  • You can provide evidence of your need for the scholarship, such as past employment history or personal circumstances.

Requirements

Interested candidates must fulfill the following requirements in order to be considered for the Skoll Scholarship for the Oxford MBA in 2024:

  • The individual must show that they have found chances and taken action to have a good social influence.
  • Have spent at least three years, preferably more, using entrepreneurial methods to drive change.
  • Applicants are able to present evidence of the results and effects of their entrepreneurial efforts.
  • Have personal traits that make a social entrepreneur.
  • Describe the importance of business education in developing your work/impact.
  • Provide evidence of your need for the scholarship.
  • Demonstrate that the program’s expense is a considerable financial burden.

The following steps must be followed in order to submit an online application for the Skoll Scholarship for Oxford MBA 2024:

Submitting a Skoll Scholarship application

To apply for the Skoll Scholarship, follow these steps:

  • To indicate interest in the Scholarship and to get updates on any changes to the submission deadlines, get in touch with us.
  • Submit your application for the Oxford MBA program directly to Sad Business School. You must carry out this during rounds 1 or 2 of the MBA admissions procedure.
  • You should attach your answers to the Skoll Scholarship essay questions with your MBA application. The “Funding” part of the MBA application is where you’ll find the scholarship essay questions. We advise allowing yourself about a week to finish the Skoll Scholarship essay questions.
  • The MBA Admissions Team will decide whether or not to accept you into the MBA program after considering your application.
  • Once you learn that you have been admitted into the MBA program, you will immediately submit your application to the Skoll Scholarship Selection Committee.

Review Of Application

  • A review of the scholarship application documents concludes each stage of the MBA admissions process.
  • You will be swiftly informed of the status of your scholarship application and whether it has made it to the final shortlist after each stage of MBA admission decisions has been made.
  • If you learn that your scholarship application has been shortlisted for consideration, keep an eye out for an email from the Skoll Centre with a link to the Logistics and Reference Form. Go to the timelines below to learn when to anticipate receiving this email.
  • Once you receive the email, you must complete the Logistics and Reference Form. This quick survey asks you to confirm your contact information (in case you receive an interview invitation), how you found out about the scholarship, and the names and contact details of your references. Please be advised that your referees won’t be notified until you reach the selection’s final stages.

What follows?

All scholarship candidates in the final round of shortlisting will be informed if they have been selected to participate in an online first-stage interview with the Skoll Scholarship Selection Committee.

If you are chosen for the next round of interviews after your initial interview, it will be conducted online. The procedures and schedules for each interview stage are listed below. Keep in mind that, if additional interviews are required, you might be invited.

We advise you to submit your MBA application as soon as possible. If you applied at stage 2 but the school’s admissions team delayed making a decision on your MBA application, you must let us know whether you still want to be eligible for the Skoll Scholarship. Whether you are qualified to continue with the Scholarship application process will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Important points to remember

We are unable to take into account applicants who submitted their scholarship essays by the deadlines but had not yet received an MBA admission letter from Sad Business School.

Up to four scholarships are normally given out each year.

Please be aware that a deposit is necessary to reserve your spot in the MBA program should your application be accepted. However, deposit deadlines will be extended for applicants who are chosen for Skoll Scholarships. The Admissions Team will coordinate this.

Please do not ask the Admissions Team for the Logistics and Reference Form if your application advances to the final shortlisting stage; you will receive it directly from the Skoll Center through email on the date indicated below.
