Oakridge Pharmacy Limited is looking for a passionate and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Medicine Counter Assistant. As a prominent pharmaceutical firm, we are dedicated to providing our community with high-quality healthcare services, and we are seeking professionals with the necessary qualifications and pharmacy operations expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Help customers pick and purchase over-the-counter drugs and health goods.
- Provide accurate and useful information regarding pharmaceuticals, such as dosing directions, probable adverse effects, and drug interactions.
- Process prescription orders and work with pharmacists to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Keep the pharmaceutical counter and adjacent spaces clean and well-organized.
- Process cash transactions and reconcile sales at the end of each shift.
- Monitor inventory levels and help refill shelves as needed.
- Work with pharmacy workers to deliver exceptional customer service and support pharmacy operations.
Qualifications:
- Certificate, Diploma, or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Medicine Counter Assistant or comparable subject.
- Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred.
- Knowledge of drugs and healthcare items is advantageous.
- Excellent communicative and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when managing transactions and prescriptions.
- The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced workplace.
- Basic computer skills and experience with POS systems are desirable.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Qualifications required for this position include a Certificate, Diploma, or HND in Medicine Counter Assistant or comparable subjects.
- Candidates from Kumasi and Winneba will be given preference.
