Newmont Mining Corporation Latest Job Vacancy

POSITION: Blast Person J3B

Newmont Mining Corporation is a major global gold producer with significant properties in Nevada, Peru, Australia, Ghana, and Suriname.

Newmont Africa Operations has two gold mining operations in Ghana: the Ahafo Mine in the Brong-Ahafo area and the Akyem Mine in the Eastern region. Ghana also prioritizes near-mine exploration and development to replenish gold reserves every year. Newmont Africa also operates early-stage exploration programs in Ethiopia and Morocco.

Our Africa activities employ roughly 5,900 employees and contractors, the majority of whom work at the Ahafo Mine. We provide an exceptional combination of opportunity and career fulfillment, as well as all the advantages that you would expect from a global corporation. This, paired with our growth prospects, makes Newmont an excellent place to work.

Our Akyem and Ahafo mines have made considerable long-term community development investments in their host communities. These include establishing Development Funds in our Akyem and Ahafo operations zones, with each mine contributing US$1 per ounce of gold sold and 1% of net pre-tax yearly profit to the community development fund.

Newmont became the first gold firm to be included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index in 2007, after being the sole gold company included in the S&P 500. Newmont’s industry-leading performance is demonstrated by our Africa operations’ high standards in environmental management, workforce health and safety, and the creation of value and opportunity for our people, host communities, and Newmont shareholders.
