POSITION: Innovation & Data Science Specialist
We are looking for a highly competent and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team, reporting to the Head of People Analytics Innovation and Data Science. You will be responsible for harnessing data and advanced analytical approaches to drive workforce-related strategic decisions. You will work with cross-functional teams from HR (Talent, Rewards, Global Mobility), Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Business Services to provide data-driven insights and recommendations for optimizing our people-related plans and activities.
Key Responsibilities
You will play a critical role in assisting the HR function and the business with people analytics.
- Data Analysis and Modeling: Use advanced statistical and machine learning approaches to evaluate big and complex statistics about employee demographics, performance, engagement, retention, and other HR indicators. Create predictive models to detect patterns, trends, and insights that will help individuals strategize.
- ML Engineering: Create, implement, and maintain scalable ML systems. Create efficient pipelines to integrate models into production, monitor and maintain model performance, optimize system performance, and ensure data security and privacy.
- People Analysis Strategy: Work with HR and business leaders to develop and create the people analytics strategy. Identify essential business questions and objectives, then develop analytical techniques to meet them. Create frameworks and procedures for measuring the impact of HR efforts on business results.
- Data Visualization and Reporting: Create visually appealing and interactive dashboards, reports, and presentations that effectively communicate findings and suggestions to stakeholders. Present your findings to senior leadership and HR teams, turning complex data into useful insights that drive decision-making.
- Data Governance and Integrity: Maintain data quality, integrity, and security throughout the analytics process. Maintain and improve data governance frameworks, data privacy policies, and compliance processes to safeguard sensitive employee information.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with market trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in people analytics. Enhance analytical approaches, tools, and procedures to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of people analytics efforts.
What will determine your success?
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Python or R programming for data analysis and modeling, as well as experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of SQL and database administration
- ML engineering experience and familiarity with the Snowflake architecture are highly appreciated.
- Experience with Streamlit or Shiny is desirable.
Consultation and Analytical Skills
- Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams. Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead and drive people analytics initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities. The ability to successfully communicate difficult analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience presenting findings and suggestions to upper management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to convert complex data into practical insights. Comfortable working with massive datasets and applying statistical approaches to draw useful results.
Education
- A master’s or doctoral degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related subject.
- A minimum of three years of experience in data science or a comparable function.
- Experience and expertise in HR are advantageous, but we welcome specialists from a wide background.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning methods
