POSITION: Store Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY
- Receive, unload, and process deliveries.
- Verify and track received inventory, and fill up inventory reports and logs.
- Work with vendors to reconcile inconsistencies between bills and received merchandise.
- Conduct inventory audits to assess stock levels and needs.
- Inspect deliveries and date times to ensure freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality across all case lots.
- Refuse to accept any damaged, unsatisfactory, or inaccurate merchandise.
- Follow food safety and handling regulations and procedures in all food-related settings.
- To guarantee proper levels, monitor the PAR values of all food items. Complete and preserve all departmental paperwork.
- Operate a forklift/pallet jack. Maintain and organize all received pallets until the product is “broken down”, removed, and/or stored.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist management with staff training, counselling, and motivation; assign and monitor work duties to ensure they are completed correctly and on time; and serve as a departmental role model or mentor.
- Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards; find, recommend, develop, and execute novel strategies to improve organizational quality.
- Report accidents, injuries, and harmful working conditions to the manager; complete safety training and certifications.
- Follow all corporate regulations and procedures; keep your uniform and personal look clean and professional; safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive information; and protect company assets.
- Welcome and thank all guests in accordance with business policies. Speak with others in clear and professional language, and answer phones with proper manners.
- Establish and maintain strong working connections with others.
- Read and visually check information in a variety of forms (including small print).
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (for example, to detect flaws).
- Work-related information is entered and located utilizing computers and/or point-of-sale systems.
- Stand, sit, or stroll for an extended period of time or throughout a work shift.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and position things weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without help.
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of different sizes and weights, which necessitates fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Travel through tiny, tight, or high areas.
- Move over sloped, uneven, or slippery terrain, as well as up and down steps and/or service ramps.
- Bending, twisting, tugging, and stooping are all methods for reaching overhead and below the knees.
- Perform other acceptable job duties as directed by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Supervisory Experience: A minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
- License or certification: None.
