POSITION: Business Development Lead
Key Responsibilities
- Opportunity Identification: Conduct research to uncover new business possibilities, target markets, and possible clients in order to grow the clientele.
- Partnership Development: Form strategic alliances and partnerships to help clients grow and penetrate new markets.
- Networking: Attend industry events, webinars, and forums to establish a strong network in the HR and talent acquisition fields.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular assessments of competitor activities and market circumstances to find opportunities for differentiation and growth.
- Proposal Development: Create and present specialized proposals to potential clients that highlight the company’s value offer.
- Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive marketing strategies specifically for African markets.
- Campaign Execution: Manage multichannel campaigns across digital, social media, and traditional channels.
- Market Research: Use market trends, customer needs, and rival activity to fine-tune strategy.
- Brand Positioning: Maintain a consistent brand message across all mediums to create a coherent identity
- Material Development: Oversee the creation of compelling material such as blogs, social media postings, and case studies.
- Performance Analytics: Monitor campaign performance and optimize strategy based on data.
- Lead Management: Generate, qualify, and manage leads from both incoming and outbound channels.
- Sales Strategy: Create and implement a strategy for engaging, nurturing, and closing deals.
- Client Relationship Building: Provide great service to clients to build solid, long-term partnerships.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the marketing team to convert leads efficiently.
- CRM Oversight: Manage the CRM system to track leads, streamline processes, and improve the sales funnel.
- Sales Reporting: Provide management with insights, progress updates, and sales projections
This position requires a proactive leader who takes a strategic approach to expanding the company’s footprint and customer base by combining business development efforts with effective marketing and sales methods.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Cross-continental strategy development experience in Africa.
- Experience with digital marketing (SEO, social media, email campaigns, and digital advertising).
- Proven sales expertise, which includes pipeline management and revenue growth.
- Effective communication and project management abilities
- Data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Customer-focused, having a thorough understanding of client requirements.
Minimum Years of Experience and Degree:
- Experience: At least 4 years of marketing and sales experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role.
- Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related discipline is necessary. A Master’s degree or certification in a related profession, such as Digital Marketing or Sales, would be beneficial.
This position is crucial for raising brand recognition, boosting sales, and assisting the company’s expansion across the continent.
