POSITION: Technical Agent

Maersk Ghana is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Technical Agent in Tema. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring the optimal administration of all logistical resources made available to him/her to complete all activities within the contractual deadlines in the most efficient manner possible and under the security parameters defined by APM Terminal.
In addition, he or she will be the primary coordinator of the fleet department’s physical operations execution and billing paperwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive information on operational planning and equipment availability.
- Coordinate with CX/Depot/OCL to obtain files.
- Organize and assign drivers to various operations.
- To ensure that operations function smoothly, monitor and communicate with drivers on a constant and regular basis.
- Handle all problems and prevent wasting time during execution.
- Anticipate any operational issues to minimize their impact.
- Push to reduce idle time for our trucks.
- Prepare all the data for billing.
- Ensure the Archive of documentation
- Report any events during the shift.
- Create a final report on the shift activities (feedback report) and share it with the fleet supervisor.
Required experience, skills, and competencies:
- Bachelor of Shipping or Transport and Logistics.
- A minimum of two years of experience in shipping, transportation, and logistics.
- Knowledge of road transportation.
- Conversational English proficiency and fluency in French.
- Analytic, well-organized, energetic, and problem-solving
- A self-starter with a feeling of urgency and time management skills
- Able to work under pressure.
