A social enterprise is a company that uses business strategies to achieve social and environmental objectives in addition to financial objectives; however, the company’s primary focus should be on social impact rather than financial outcomes.
Our mission, since its inception in 2016, has been to bring together all actors in the social entrepreneurship sector in order to strengthen and expand the ecosystem. Social Enterprise Ghana promotes business-friendly policies for social businesses and helps them gain access to skills, markets, and financing.
Social Enterprise Ghana is seeking to recruit qualified and experienced individuals for the following positions:
1. Project Finance and Accounts Manager
Responsibilities
- Create, implement, and analyse budgets and forecasts while maintaining compliance with programming strategies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit all financial reporting documentation required by Social Enterprise Ghana and its partners in a timely and accurate manner. This involves estimating cash demands on a regular basis, maintaining required bank balances, making wire transfers, and producing accurate spending reports.
- Monitor monies issued to TVET training centres, hubs, and partner organisations in collaboration with the Project Manager and assigned manager.
- Establish suitable internal control systems and procedures.
Required Skill or Experience
- 10+ years of responsible experience in TVET education promotion, youth education and training, and employment skill development, with a track record of related accomplishments in business and/or charity sectors.
- Knowledge or experience working with agribusinesses, social entrepreneurs, or contemporary thinking and practices in the fields of agribusiness, employment promotion, and agriculture TVET.
- Master’s degree, particularly in accounting and finance, with professional credentials such as ACCA and CA.
- Excellent skills in accounting software (Quickbooks, Sage, Tally, etc.)
- Excellent project management abilities and the ability to handle several, often conflicting, priorities while working collaboratively to establish networks and meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

2. Technical and Vocational Education Training and Workshop Manager
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement social enterprises. Ghana’s ATVET Strategy
- Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and private-sector groups to promote ATVET education for employment advancement among young people.
- Work to increase interest and skills among informal ATVET institutions in Hubs and NGos.
- Assist in the development of training curricula, manuals, and modules to promote TVET skills among young people.
- Support the creation of programs and activities that will increase work prospects for young people with agricultural technical and vocational education (ATVET).
- Identifying job prospects within private sector entities and supporting skill development by ATVET institutions.
Required Skill or Experience
- Over ten years of responsible experience promoting agriculture TVET education.
- Youth education, training, and skill development for professions requiring a track record of relevant successes in the commercial and/or nonprofit sectors.
- Knowledge or experience working with agribusinesses, social entrepreneurs, or contemporary thinking and practices in the fields of agribusiness, employment promotion, and agriculture TVET.
- Master’s degree, preferably in agriculture, engineering, TVET education, or a similar field.
- Excellent project management abilities and the ability to handle several, often conflicting, priorities while working collaboratively to establish networks and meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
