POSITION: Risk and Compliance Officer
A respected rural bank in the Bono East Region is seeking applications from qualified applicants for the role of Risk and Compliance Officer.
General purpose.
The Risk and Compliance Officer will monitor and assess areas of risk in the Bank’s operations to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
Your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the Bank’s business activities align with acceptable risk tolerance levels set by the Board and the banking industry.
- Create and implement an effective risk management framework for operations.
- Ensure compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, internal policies, procedures, and processes.
- Oversee control systems to prevent regulatory violations.
- Submit monthly Risk and Compliance reports to the board, management, and Bank of Ghana.
- Report on suspicious transactions (STR) and cash transaction reports (CTR).
- Train staff on the Know Your Customer/Customer Due Diligence (KYC/CDD) framework.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or professional qualification, such as ACCA, CA, ACIB, CIMA, etc.
Competencies & Skills
- Computer literate with expertise in T24 Core Banking applications and Microsoft Suite.
- Demonstrates self-motivation, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Maintains high integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
Location: Bono East Region.
