POSITION: Quality Control Officer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety:

  • Regular identification of SUSA, near misses, etc.
  • To follow Nexans Safety Golden Rules, which include procedures for emergency preparedness and response in the event of a fire, first aid, or oil spill.
  • To follow safety protocols while handling LPG inside the laboratory.

Quality:

  • To guarantee that products fulfill standards and consumer requirements.
  • To prepare data for the SQDCE sessions.
  • Monitor the in-house verification of measuring instruments.
  • To collect and enter information for quality performance analysis.
  • Assist with data preparation for Quality SMR and QC Plant meetings.
  • Monitor the calibration of measurement instruments.
  • To participate in problem-solving activities.
  • To train and assist in the training of quality control and inspection technicians, as well as production technicians.
  • Assists with any additional duties allocated in accordance with product quality and services.

Delivery:

  • To satisfy client delivery schedules, perform inspections on in-process control, finished products, raw material test operations, wooden drums, and packing.

Cost:

  • To report on all cost-saving efforts, such as thickness and diameter control, resistance control, scrap control, weight measurement control, and so on.
  • To complete the receipt of copper scrap from consumers for weight measurement.
  • To support and help the QC manager with customer interactions, product certificate renewals, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 18001 audits, and the company’s aspiration goals.

Environment and 5S:

  • To assure 5S in the lab, set up an FG test fence and a product nonconformity area.
  • Adhere to environmental procedures when handling laboratory chemicals, solvents, and so forth.

Qualification

  • Qualification: Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent.
  • EXPERIENCE: 3 to 5 years in a similar job, with good analytical skills and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
