POSITION: Procurement Officer (Electrical/Mechanical)
Duties
- Market Study: Examine market conditions to find potential suppliers of electrical materials and evaluate their specifications and performance standards.
- Supplier Management: Build and sustain solid relationships with suppliers, making sure they adhere to quality and delivery requirements.
- Negotiation: Discuss contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers to secure advantageous conditions for the organization.
- Purchase Orders: Generate purchase orders from authorized requisitions, monitor orders, and accelerate deliveries when needed.
- Quality Assurance: Supervise the examination of incoming materials to confirm they comply with the designated quality standards prior to approval.
- Inventory Control: Track stock levels and oversee inventory to avoid shortages or surpluses.
- Documentation: Keep precise records of acquisitions, vendor communications, and contract arrangements for regulatory compliance and auditing needs.
- Collaboration: Cooperate closely with internal teams (such as engineering and project management) to synchronize procurement efforts with project needs.
- Cost Evaluation: Create budgets and perform cost evaluations to enhance purchasing strategies and guarantee cost efficiency.
Necessary Skills or Experience
Required experience in sourcing electrical and mechanical components or equipment.
