POSITION: Senior Key Account Manager

In your role as a Senior Key Account Manager at Jumia, you will be responsible for the critical Jumia KPIs: growth and profitability. This role is presently among those where Jumia Group is investing heavily to expand the talent pool. We anticipate that the top achievers will become the next generation of CCOs, MDs, and Category Directors throughout the organization.

You will concentrate on one or more categories, overseeing c-level end-to-end relationships for our leading brands and vendors. From the fundamental aspects of commerce to operational tasks and the joint organization of Jumia’s major commercial events, your role will equip you with all the tools needed to guide your categories effectively.

This role requires significant interaction with Managing Directors, CCO all the way to Jumia CEOs.

What you will be doing:

  • Establishing solid connections with C-Level executives and account managers of our leading brands and vendors. You must demonstrate a perfect comprehension of the overall Phones ecosystem and its market. You will be the sole individual, along with the country managing director and CCO, to represent Jumia to those important accounts.
  • Establish and nurture robust, enduring customer connections with these important accounts.
  • Create and execute plans to boost sales and optimize revenue within the category.
  • Work together with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement promotional campaigns and initiatives designed for the category.
  • Examine sales figures and market patterns to uncover chances for development and enhancement.
  • Track and report key account metrics, such as sales results, inventory amounts, and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and conclude agreements with major clients, guaranteeing shared advantages and lasting partnerships.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and assistance to important clients, resolving any problems or worries promptly and efficiently.
  • Remain informed about industry trends, competitor actions, and consumer tastes in the category.
  • Collaborate closely with various teams, such as merchandising, operations, and logistics, to guarantee smooth account management and fulfillment.

What we seek:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the telecommunications sector;
  • Thorough knowledge and comprehension of the players and dynamics in the Phones industry.
  • Alumni of recognized leading universities, engineering, and business institutions.
  • Expertise in MS Office and Google applications
  • Acquainted with tools for managing relationships
  • Robust business and analytical abilities
  • Excellent ability to manage high-stakes negotiations.
  • Proficient with tools (MS Office and Google applications)
  • Robust interpersonal abilities: Persuade others and your team that your choices are sound.
  • Excellent capability to thrive in a high-speed and competitive setting.
  • Impeccable English communication
