POSITION: Accountant and Admin Coordinator

Job Summary

Accountable for creating balance sheets, income statements, and additional financial documents. Duties also involve examining trends, expenses, incomes, financial commitments, and obligations to foresee future earnings and costs, which includes reviewing financial records and processes, reconciling bank accounts, and determining tax liabilities and refunds.

Primary Responsibilities

Accounting duties 

  • Prepare entries for assets, liabilities, and capital accounts by gathering and examining account data. Record financial transactions by inputting account details.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings.
  • Compile information to summarize the current financial situation; create a balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and additional reports.
  • Resolve financial inconsistencies by gathering and examining account data.
  • Compose financial statements and create a budget in line with the timeline.
  • Conduct internal and external audits to guarantee adherence.
  • Adhere to financial policies and guidelines.

Logistical operations and various administrative duties 

  • Coordinate with the Business Managers to monitor shipments.
  • Help with sample clearance
  • Release the order and coordinate with the warehouse regarding deliveries. Check in with GRA, FDA, and government entities.
  • Manage administrative duties associated with insurance, telephones, fuel providers, office supplies, electricity, and internet services.
  • Maintain the database of all documents for Azelis Ghana regularly and ensure that the physical copies are properly organized.
  • Help with any administrative duties assigned by the Managing Director or Commercial Manager.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management, or similar qualification
  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting methods and concepts
  • Familiarity with general ledger operations and the month-end/year-end closing procedures.
  • Confidentiality
  • Precision and focus on specifics
  • Ability in mathematics and numerical skills
  • Strong understanding of English
  • Proficient user of AX and Excel, including pivot tables.
