POSITION: Housekeeping Supervisor
Position Overview
Our international client offering hospitality services is seeking a skilled Housekeeping Supervisor to become part of their team. Reporting to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper, your main role will involve assisting in the planning and oversight of daily operations across all floors and public spaces, ensuring the utmost level of cleanliness.
Duties:
- Direct and assign tasks to the floor team members effectively so that guests and cross-functional departments obtain timely and polite service.
- Examine public spaces/floors/rooms to verify that furniture, facilities, and equipment are clean and in good condition, properly maintained, and updated/refurnished as necessary to comply with business standards.
- Collaborate with other housekeeping sections and departments on all pertinent matters impacting the hotel’s physical appearance and room conditions, ensure they are updated, and track unresolved issues.
- Assist the Assistant Executive Housekeeper(s) in recruiting, overseeing performance, recognizing training needs, creating a training plan, and executing training initiatives.
- Conduct monthly training sessions for the team to address the identified training requirements.
- Arrange regular examinations by supervisors for all housekeeping zones, covering both occupied and unoccupied rooms.
- Manage the utilization of all amenities and cleaning supplies to guarantee adherence to the budget and confirm proper use of equipment and tools.
- Support the Assistant Executive Housekeeper(s) in overseeing housekeeping protocols such as lost property, key management, security, and emergency measures, as well as Health and Safety for both staff and guests.
Requirements
- Should possess a minimum of HND in Hospitality Management or a similar discipline.
- Should possess at least two (2) years of work experience in a supervisory position within housekeeping/property/facility management. 4*/5* star experience is a benefit.
- Capacity to connect, impact, and foster relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Should possess knowledge and experience in cleaning methods, housekeeping equipment, and familiarity with procedures and standards.
- Outstanding abilities in organization, problem-solving, team development, planning, communication (both verbal and written), leadership, decision-making, and management.
- Strong skills in computer programs (Excel/PowerPoint/Word) are beneficial.
